CLEVELAND — We now know when the Cleveland Cavaliers will be returning to the court for what will mark one of the most highly anticipated seasons in recent memory.
On Wednesday, the NBA released its full schedule for the 2022-23 regular season. That includes the Cavs' 82-game slate, which will begin with a road game against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, Oct. 19. After facing the Chicago Bulls on the road on Oct. 22, Cleveland will host its home opener at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Sunday, Oct. 23, against the Washington Wizards.
Other highlights on the Cavs' 2022-23 regular-season schedule include the following nine nationally televised games:
- 2 games on TNT (Dec. 6 vs. Los Angeles Lakers and Feb. 2 vs. Memphis Grizzlies).
- 3 games on ESPN (Feb. 10 at New Orleans Pelicans, March 1 at Boston Celtics and March 15 vs. Philadelphia 76ers).
- 4 games on NBA TV (Nov. 7 at Los Angeles Clippers, Dec. 26 vs. Brooklyn Nets, March 10 at Miami Heat and March 21 at Brooklyn Nets).
The Feb. 2 game on TNT vs. the Grizzlies will also air nationally on ESPN Radio.
Additionally, the Cavs will host the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors on Jan. 20 and the defending Eastern Conference champion Celtics on Nov. 2 and March 1. Cleveland will also host Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans in a 3:00 p.m. matinee tip-off on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 16.
