Cleveland Cavaliers announce 2023-24 NBA regular-season schedule

The NBA has announced its regular-season schedule for the 2023-24 campaign.

CLEVELAND — With the 2023-24 NBA season just around the corner, we now know when the Cleveland Cavaliers will return to action.

On Thursday, the NBA released its full schedule for the 2023-24 regular season. That included all 80 of the Cavs' regular-season contests, beginning with an Oct. 25 opener on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.

As for Cleveland's home opener, the Cavs will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, Oct. 27 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers' lone trip to Cleveland comes on Saturday, Nov. 25, while the Cavs will face the Brooklyn Nets in Paris on Thursday, January 4.

Also included in the upcoming regular season is the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament. The Cavs' group games, which were previously announced, include the following contests:

  • Friday, November 3 - at Indiana Pacers - 7 p.m. ET
  • Friday, November 17 - vs. Detroit Pistons - 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Tuesday, November 21 - at Philadelphia 76ers - 7:30 pm. ET (TNT)
  • Tuesday, November 28 - vs. Atlanta Hawks - 7:30 p.m. ET

Cleveland's full 2023-24 regular-season schedule can be found here.

Headlined by All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, point guard Darius Garland, third-year big man Evan Mobley and center Jarrett Allen, the Cavs will look to build on a 2022-23 campaign in which they amassed a 51-31 regular-season record. Despite qualifying for the playoffs for the first time since James' departure for Los Angeles in 2018, the Cavs' season ended on a sour note, as Cleveland was eliminated by the New York Knicks in five games in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
