If you're having trouble keeping up with who is now on the Cleveland Cavaliers, you're not alone. In addition to sending Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye to the Los Angeles Lakers and Dwyane Wade to the Miami Heat, the Cavs have reportedly agreed to a three-way deal to send Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose to the Utah Jazz and Iman Shumpert to the Sacramento Kings, in exchange for George Hill and Rodney Hood, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
For those keeping track at home, that means the Cavs have traded six players on Thursday -- with an hour still remaining until the actual trade deadline passes. The combination of deals is expected to bump owner Dan Gilbert's luxury tax bill to $50 million on what was already the second-highest payroll in the league.
Over the course of their recent moves, it's clear that Cleveland has placed a heavily emphasis on both getting younger and better on defense. Having lost 12 of their last 19 games dating back to Christmas, it seemed clear something with the Cavs had to change and Thursday's moves seem to indicate Koby Altman agreed -- and then some -- with that sentiment.
