Cleveland Cavaliers hold off late rally, beat Sacramento Kings 109-108

The Cavs' 10-point lead evaporated in the final minutes, but De'Aaron Fox's jumper clanked off the rim as time expired.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Jarret Allen had 18 points and 17 rebounds, Darius Garland also had a double-double and the Cleveland Cavaliers held off the Sacramento Kings 109-108.

Kevin Love also scored 18 points, Evan Mobley added 17 and Lauri Markkanen and Cedi Osman finished with 15 points apiece. Garland had 12 points and 11 assists as the Cavs (23-18) completed the season sweep of the Kings.

Cleveland led by 13 at the half and by 10 with just 2:34 to play, but Sacramento came roaring back with a 9-0 run to cut the deficit to one. De'Aaron Fox then stole the ball with 11 seconds left and later had a chance to win it, but his step back jumped clanked off the rim as time expired.

Tyrese Haliburton had 21 points and eight assists, while Buddy Hield added 19 points. The Kings (16-27) have lost a season-worst five straight.

Now halfway through their west coast trip, the Cavaliers will next head to Salt Lake City Wednesday night to face the Utah Jazz.
