INDIANAPOLIS -- In what's beginning to look like road game tradition in these playoffs, the Cleveland Cavaliers arrived at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Friday night once again donning matching suits.
The Cavs, who lay claim to a 3-2 series lead, had also arrived at the arena in Indianapolis wearing matching custom Thom Browne suits in their two previous road games of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The outfits were a gift from Cavs superstar LeBron James to the rest of his teammates.
Thus far, the custom suits have brought mixed luck to the Cavs. In Game 3, Cleveland took a 57-40 halftime lead before squandering the 17-point advantage in what was ultimately a 92-90 loss. Two nights later, the Cavs blew another double-digit halftime lead but bounced back in time to beat the Pacers 104-100 to even the series at two games apiece.
Following its 98-95 Game 5 victory -- which featured no shortage of heroics from James -- Cleveland took a 3-2 series lead, the first of its opening-round matchup. Friday night's Game 6 will mark the Cavs' first opportunity to close out the series, with the winner advancing to the Eastern Conference Semifinals to face the winner of the ongoing series between the No. 1 seed Toronto Raptors and No. 8 Washington Wizards.
The Raptors currently possess a 3-2 series lead heading into their own Game 6 on Friday night in Washington D.C.
Should both the Cavs and Raptors emerge victorious on Friday, they'll meet for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals in Toronto on Sunday. And if that's the case, it's a safe bet the Cavs will once again arrive dressed for success.
Tip-off for Game 6 between the Cavs and Pacers is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. For all the latest from Indianapolis throughout the night, follow our live blog and join the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #3Cavs.
