CLEVELAND — As the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, forward Dean Wade is expected to return according to a report from ESPN.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news via Twitter, saying that Wade would make his return on Saturday night after missing seven weeks due to a shoulder injury.
On Dec. 2, 2022, Wade suffered a left shoulder injury in the second quarter against the Orlando Magic.
Prior to the injury, the two-way player for the Cavs averaged 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds for the team through 17 games. With Wade on the court, the Cavaliers compiled a record of 12-5 this season.
In September 2022, Wade agreed to terms on a three-year, $18.5 million contract extension with the Cavaliers. During the 2021-222 season, the Kansas State product averaged 5.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in 51 games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers (28-19) will look to get back on track Saturday night as they play at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse against the Milwaukee Bucks (29-16).
The Cavs are coming off a 120-114 Friday night loss at home against the Golden State Warriors. Friday's game marked the Cavs' second game without Donovan Mitchell due to a groin injury.
