CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers have been the surprise team of this NBA season, and following a home win on national television over the Toronto Raptors, new team general manager Mike Gansey joined WKYC's Sports Tonight show with Nick Camino.
The former Olmsted Falls star athlete, who played collegiately at West Virginia, talked with Camino about his rise through the Cavaliers organization, being named team GM of his hometown team, the front office continuity and the current Cavs season.
Gansey, a lifetime Cleveland sports fan, admitted the Cavaliers have surprised even the organization this season with their early success.
The Cavs are currently 37-27 on the season and sit sixth in the Eastern Conference playoff standings. Cleveland outlasted the Toronto Raptors 104-96 on Sunday night.
