CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers have unveiled their 2023-24 City Edition uniforms.
The uniforms, which are inspired by Cleveland's Playhouse Square, were unveiled at the KeyBank State Theatre on Thursday morning.
The bold design drew inspiration from the interiors of the theaters in Playhouse Square. The back of the jersey was inspired by iconic theater marquees, which were modernized for the uniform. The design is "reminiscent of the dramatic and dazzling marquees that welcome patrons to the theater."
“We are so pleased to be the Cavaliers’ City Edition partner this year. It’s a great opportunity to showcase the commonalities between sport and the arts,” said Playhouse Square President and CEO Craig Hassall. “We’re more alike than you might think. And the beautiful City Edition uniform and court designs highlight the rich detail in our historic theaters, of which we are so proud.”
The Nike NBA City Edition uniforms for all 30 teams are "designed to represent the stories, history and heritage that make each franchise unique - honoring the inherent bond between, court, community and culture," according to Cavaliers officials.

The Cavs will debut their 2023-24 City Edition uniforms and specially designed City Edition home court for the first time this season on Friday, Nov. 17, against the Detroit Pistons.
