CLEVELAND — Editor's note: The video in the player above is from a previously published, unrelated story.
This is a story about how a post-game interview turned into a conversation about chicken wings in Northeast Ohio.
After the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers late Wednesday night, Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo decided to refuel with a small bucket of chicken wings. However, unlike most professional athletes, Giannis decided to bring the Quaker Steak & Lube wings with him to the post-game conference, indulging in the snack while answering questions from reporters.
"Giannis really brought a bucket of wings to the postgame presser & started chowing down," the Bucks captioned a tweet Wednesday night.
The video posted to Twitter has amassed more than 1.4 million views and has since sparked a discussion about chicken wings in Cleveland.
Former NBA player and ESPN Analyst JJ Redick reshared the Bucks' video writing "Best post-game wings in the league are in Cleveland."
Despite the minor distraction that food offered to the Bucks forward, Giannis explained the team's loss to the Cavs, saying "We sucked, we played bad."
The Cavs have now won eight of their last nine games and are scored their 30th game of the season, demolishing the team's 22 total wins from last season. The Cavs are now just 1 1/2 games behind the Miami Heat for the overall top spot in the Eastern Conference.
