As the Cleveland Cavaliers were in the process of losing Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Kanye West was in Wyoming, debuting his new surprise album, Ye.
One of the most notable new lyrics from the 21-time Grammy Award-winning rapper just so happens to focus on one of the Cavs key players, as West makes a reference to center Tristan Thompson on the song "All Mine."
"All these th--s on Christian Mingle," West raps. "Almost what got Tristan single."
The lyric is a clear reference to Thompson's alleged infidelity, which made headlines in the days leading up to the birth of his daughter with West's sister-in-law, Khloe Kardashian in April. Days before Thompson and Kardashian's daughter, True, was born in Cleveland, TMZ revealed multiple instances in which the Cavs center appeared to have cheated on the reality TV star.
All of the drama surrounding the two was reportedly filmed for the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
In the time since their daughter's birth, Thompson and Kardashian appeared to have mended fences. The latter has even been spotted at multiple games at Quicken Loans Arena throughout the Cavs run to the 2018 NBA Finals, including one instance in which she called out a 'thirsty' fan for trying to snap a covert picture of her.
At the moment, however, West's lyric appears to be the least of Thompson's worries. After being ejected from the final moments of the Cavs' Game 1 loss, the seventh-year center could be facing a possible suspension for Game 2 following an altercation with Draymond Green.
