Dating back to the start of this summer, Kevin Love has been enjoying the offseason of a lifetime.
But the Summer of Love '19 took a detour on Wednesday when the Cleveland Cavaliers forward's girlfriend, Kate Bock, had to take a trip to the hospital to get staples in her head after the couple was involved in a rafting accident.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Love revealed that he and Bock's latest summer trip had taken them to the Jackson Hole Whitewater in Jackson, Wyoming. Only his next post painted a much less scenic portrait of the trip as it showed Bock in the hospital wearing a bloodied ballcap.
"Can’t take her anywhere," Love wrote. "@katebock got her head stapled shut after a nasty (but epic) spill.
"'Only head injury we’ve seen in 34 years.' FYI we laughed the entire thing off and will be going back."
"To say yesterday was eventful is an understatement," Bock wrote on her own Instagram page. "Please enjoy my stories to see how we went from slide one."
Based on Bock's ensuing posts, the supermodel's injury didn't derail too much of their trip. On Thursday, she revealed her and Love had attended a rodeo, while the 5-time All-Star posted a picture in which he referred to himself as
In addition to Jackson, Love has taken trips to Vancouver, Whistler, Aspen, Arizona and Thailand. He'll soon, however, return to Cleveland where he'll begin his sixth season as a member of the Cavs.
