Kevin Love posts photo with former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate LeBron James

Days after signing a four-year extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kevin Love posted a picture with his now-former teammate, LeBron James.

Days after signing a four-year extension, the new face of the Cleveland Cavaliers posted a photo with the old one.

Taking to his Instagram story on Thursday afternoon, Kevin Love shared a picture of himself alongside former Cavs teammate LeBron James, along with the caption "Thursday morning work."

Love and James, of course, spent the past four seasons playing alongside one another in Cleveland, where they led the Cavs to four straight NBA Finals, winning the 2016 NBA title. Their time as teammates, however, came to an end earlier this summer when James signed a four-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rather than ask for a trade to another contender, Love not only opted to remain in Cleveland, but will be here for the long-term. Agreeing to a four-year, $120 million extension on Tuesday, the 5-time All-Star is now under contract through the 2022-23 season, ushering in a new era of Cavs basketball.

"We got a little bit spoiled with four straight trips to the Finals," Love said. "But now we get to build this thing again.”

Hours after Love put pen to paper in front of construction workers and team employees at Quicken Loans Arena, James congratulated his former teammate with a tweet, suggesting Love take him out for an expensive meal. Love responded in kind, proposing that the two All-Star forwards split the bill, considering James just signed a $153.3 million deal.

Whether or not the two have worked out an agreement on their payment plan remains unclear. But based on Love's photo -- which appears to have been taken in Las Vegas -- a celebration could be commencing shortly.
