CLEVELAND -- For the first time since the end of the 1994 season, the No. 22 was worn by a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Retired by the organization to honor power forward Larry Nance, the No. 22 was kept in the family, as Larry Nance Jr. wore the number in Sunday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs at Quicken Loans Arena, nearly 24 years after his father last played for the Cavaliers and stepped away from the game.

Along with point guard Jordan Clarkson, Nance Jr. was acquired by the Cavaliers in a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline on February 8, and was given the No. 24 upon his arrival and playing in his first game, a 121-99 win over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

In four games with the Cavaliers, Nance Jr. has averaged a career-best 9.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.8 steals over 22.0 minutes per contest. Nance Jr. is shooting 53.3 percent from the floor and pulling down an average of 3.2 offensive rebounds per game.
