In what has become a time-honored tradition in Cleveland for the past four years, LeBron James made a cryptic social media post on Wednesday morning and social media lost its mind.
"When you become lazy it's disrespectful to those who believe in you," James wrote underneath a 100 emoji in a post shared on his Instagram story Wednesday morning.
James' post comes just hours after the Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a 125-114 loss to the shorthanded Detroit Pistons. In the same defeat, All-Star forward Kevin Love suffered a broken bone in his left hand, which is expected to keep him out of action for the next 6-8 weeks.
Of course, it's entirely possible James' cryptic post was completed unrelated to the Cavs, who have now lost eight of their last 11 games. That, of course, hasn't stopped social media from running with the idea that the 4-time MVP's post was intended to be at not-so-subtle shot at the state of his current team.
James and the Cavs will look to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday, when they host his former team, the Miami Heat, for a 7:30 p.m ET tip.
