It's no secret the Cleveland Cavaliers are seeking help as Thursday's 3 p.m. ET NBA trade deadline approaches. But on Tuesday, the team was offered aid from an unlikely source.
With the Cavs having consistently been linked to DeAndre Jordan leading up to Thursday's deadline, Tom Withers of the Associated Press asked one Cleveland player if he thought the Los Angeles Clippers center could help improve the team. With the Cavs having lost 9 of their last 14 games and coming off a 32-point blowout loss to the Houston Rockets, the player responded that at this point, "Montell Jordan could help us right now.ā
As the tweet proceeded to go viral, the R&B singer took notice and issued a public response to Withers stating that he'd be willing to help.
For what it's worth, the 'This is How We Do it' singer measures in at 6-foot-8, leaving him just a few inches shy of DeAndre Jordan, who has averaged 11.5 points, 14.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game this season.
Whether or not the Cavs will acquire Jordan -- either of them -- will be determined in the next two days. In the meantime, here's current Cavs guard Dwyane Wade signing and dancing to the 1995 hit "This is How We Do It" at a previous Miami Heat media day.
