CLEVELAND — A fifth name has been added to the interview mix for the Cleveland Cavaliers' vacant head coaching position.
According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cavs have received permission to interview Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Micah Nori. Nori, a Middletown native, has been an assistant coach in the NBA since 2009. Nori spent time as an assistant with the Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets and Detroit Pistons before becoming the lead assistant coach in 2021 with the Timberwolves.
Nori is the next candidate in line after the wine and gold received permission to interview assistant coaches Kenny Atkinson, James Borrego, Johnnie Bryant and Chris Quinn, says Wojnarowski.
