CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly pulled off a blockbuster trade on Thursday. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Cavs have acquired All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz in exchange for Colin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen and rookie swingman Ochai Agbaji. Cleveland is also sending Utah three unprotected first-round picks and two pick swaps as a part of the deal.
The 6-foot-1 Mitchell has averaged 23.9 points on .441 percent shooting (.361 from 3-point range), 4.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds during his five-year career in the NBA. At just 25 years old, he joins a young core of emerging talent in Cleveland that includes Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley.
Social media has erupted with the news of this major trade, including tweets from current and former members of the Cavaliers, to Mitchell himself. Let's take a look at how players, media and fans are reacting.
