Nike's new commercial is a perfect #ThrowbackThursday just in time for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
The commercial centers on a young LeBron James visiting a tattoo shop for the first time. In the commercial, a tattoo artist is handed a slip of paper with the illustration "Chosen 1." The camera pans to a teenage James sporting a St. Vincent-St. Mary High School sweatshirt before the screen goes black and the phrase "Always Believe" appears.
James signed a lifetime deal with Nike in 2003 and will begin his eighth straight NBA Finals run Thursday night. He's been the "Chosen One" since 2002, when the title appeared on a Sports Illustrated cover featuring James, who was the top prep school player in the nation at the time.
