CLEVELAND -- After making a #PoutineVsPierogi bet with announcer Renee Young, WWE Dolph Ziggler showed up to witness his wager in person.
Midway through the first quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers' Game 3 matchup with the Toronto Raptors, the humongotron at Quicken Loans Arena displayed Ziggler, who helped in-house announce Ahmaad Crump with the t-shirt toss. ZIggler then proceeded to help hype up the crowd, as the Cavs jumped out to a 24-19 first-quarter lead.
A native of Cleveland, Ziggler -- real name Nick Nemeth -- is no stranger to the Cleveland sports scene. After setting school records as an amateur wrestler at St. Edward's High School in Lakewood and Kent State University, Ziggler has become 2-time WWE heavyweight champion and one of the most prominent faces in sports entertainment.
Although he currently resides in Phoenix, the Northeast Ohio native has been a regular at both Cavs and Browns games. His confidence in the former led to his bet with Young, a Toronto native, where if the Cavs win the series, she'll have to eat a Parma pierogi, while a Raptors series victory would require Ziggler to eat poutine.
So far, it's looking good for Ziggler, as the Cavs lay claim to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
