AKRON — While one banner featuring former Cavaliers star LeBron James is about to disappear, it seems that another one in his hometown will stay put for now.
The city of Akron tells WKYC's Amani Abraham that it has no plans to remove the "I'm Home" banner featuring LeBron James at this time.
The city added it will consider the most appropriate way to honor James' many contributions to Akron and Northeast Ohio going forward.
Sunday night, James announced his intention to sign a four-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers
On Monday, Sherwin-Williams announced that Nike will remove the LeBron James billboard from its Global Headquarters Wall across from Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland this week.
