AKRON, Ohio — A museum dedicated to the king of basketball is now open in Northeast Ohio.
The LeBron James Family Foundation opened the world's first official LeBron James Museum in Akron on Saturday, November 25.
The opening came on the same day that James and the Los Angeles Lakers will be in Cleveland for a game against the Cavaliers.
The immersive journey, "LeBron James' Home Court," will offer a look at James' life through original artifacts. The museum will be housed inside House Three Thirty.
Tickets for the museum cost $23 and can be purchased HERE. All of the proceeds from ticket sales will go back into the community through House Three Thirty's job training model that employs I Promise School students, parents educators and family members.
“My dream was always to put Akron on the map, so to have a place in my hometown that allows me to share my journey with my fans from all over the world means a lot to me,” said James. “I’ve been known to hang on to a lot of things over the years, and I always knew there would be a time and place to bring them out. I’m so proud that place is House Three Thirty, a space my Foundation created to serve my I Promise families and the entire community.”
