In previous years, Isaac Okoro and Evan Mobley would have likely been squaring off during the NBA Rising Stars event. But thanks to the league's new format, which includes a four-team, three-game tournament, the Cleveland Cavaliers' two representatives will remain teammates later this month.
On Friday the NBA unveiled the rosters for the first year of its Rising Stars tournament, which were selected from a pool consisting of 12 rookies, 12 second-year players and four players from the NBA G League Ignite. Okoro and Mobley were each selected to Hall of Fame guard Rick Barry's "Team Barry," along with the reigning No. 1 overall pick, Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham, as well as former Ohio State standout and Houston Rockets forward Jae'Sean Tate.
