Guide | Things to do during NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland

Don’t want to buy a ticket to the actual game? Check out these ways to still get in on the fun.

CLEVELAND — The countdown to NBA All-Star Weekend is officially on!

From February 18 through February 20, all eyes will be on the city of Cleveland as the biggest names in basketball and entertainment arrive to celebrate the NBA's 75th season. 

While the NBA has a slew of events planned, those can be pricey. So if you're looking to save a bit of cash or just support local businesses and entrepreneurs, these events are for you. 

You'll still get the glitz and glam of NBA All-Star weekend, but at a fraction of the cost of some tickets. 

The information found below is a running list and will be updated as more events are announced. 

The House of Glo presented by Gloria James 

The inaugural fashion show is described as "a fashion presentation celebrating Black designers, highlighting social justice initiatives and supporting Northwest Ohio's only public HBCU, Central State University."

Power of Sport Performing Arts Competition

Join us for a live performance competition featuring local poets and musicians who’ve created original works on how the power of sport has changed their world. Winners will be announced live and cash prizes will be awarded.

Terry Rozier and Friends Celebrity Bowling Party 

Join Youngstown native and Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier for a night of bowling fun at Euphoria Lanes featuring other special guests.

Cleveland vs. The World Celebrity Basketball event 

This family-friendly event is being put on by Legit Paper's Ray Jr. who will serve as the General Manager of the Cleveland Team while Comedian and actor, Haha Davis will serve as the GM for the World team. Guests will have the opportunity to experience a 3-point contest, dunk contests, live performances and more. 

Location: Warrensville Heights High School, 4270 Northfield Rd

The 'Real Black Friday' Black Biz Expo 

The annual "Real Black Friday" Black Business Expo is taking place this year at Tower City. More than 100 black-owned business will be in one place during NBA All-Star weekend. The free, family-friendly event will include live entertainment, food vendors and more.

All-Star Greek Jam

Members of multiple Greek organizations will take to the court to go head-to-head in a basketball showcase. There will be strolling, vendors, food trucks, and live music.

NBA All-Star Weekend 2K22 Tournament 

This family-friendly event allows guests the opportunity to experience the competition, virtual reality basketball, and classic basketball video games. "Immerse yourself in a grandstand arena featuring multiple screens, ultra-surround sound, and maybe – a couple NBA players," a website for the event reads. 

Location: The Great Lakes Science Center, 601 Erieside Ave

Breakthrough Sounds Artist Mixer & Open Night 

Join Breakthrough Sounds for a weekend of performances, networking, and fun for the 2022 All-Star Weekend at Breakthrough Sounds!

'Welcome to Cleveland' Happy Hour & Fundraiser

Join local artists and entrepreneurs for a powerful conversation about mental health in hopes of eliminating the stigma. The event will feature pop-ups from local businesses and specials guests including Justin Hardee and Torrian Ball.

All-Star Weekend Youth Lock-in   

During the inaugural lock-in, open to youth ages 9 to 15, students will take part in various activities such as vision board making, interacting learning,  physical activities and more.

A Celebration of Fatherhood and Literacy
