CLEVELAND — Cleveland State University has a new men's basketball coach.
Dennis Gates, who spent the last nine years on the coaching staff at Florida State University, was introduced at a press conference Tuesday.
Gates, who began his coaching career in 2004 has spent time at Northern Illinois, Marquette and California. He also spent time in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers prior to joining FSU.
Gates takes over a Vikings program that has gone 22-44 over the last two seasons and fired Dennis Felton after players began leaving the program in July.
