CLEVELAND — Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark's impact on young basketball players is mesmerizing.
With Cleveland hosting the 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four, young girls and their families have traveled from across the country to support Clark.
The Kaeding family drove from Iowa to continue supporting Clark as the No. 1 Hawkeyes take on the No. 3 UConn Huskies at 9:30 p.m. at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
“We came from Iowa City. It was supposed to take us eight hours, but it took us nine and a half since we got stuck in some traffic in Chicago,” said Larry Kaeding.
Larry told 3News that both Chloe and Tess play for the same club basketball team that Clark played for in Iowa -- All Iowa Attack.
“She’s inspired us to do great things on the court,” said Chloe Kaeding.
For them, it is a final chance to see Clark play for Iowa while she finishes out her collegiate career in Cleveland before heading to the 2024 WNBA Draft.
The Kaeding's weren't the only ones that traveled across the country to Cleveland for this weekend's Final Four.
Other fans came from as far as Missouri, making a 13-hour trip to cheer for both Iowa and NC State.
During the Party on the Plaza ahead of Friday night's games, Iowa fans took over The Land to show their support for Clark.
