CLEVELAND — Cleveland State women's basketball got 50 points from its bench in a dominating 88-49 victory over Chicago State Tuesday afternoon in an out-of-conference matchup at the Wolstein Center.
A game-high 16 of those points came from Aminata Ly, who made six of her nine shot attempts. Destiny Leo had 11 points in just 15 minutes of action for the Vikings (22-3), while Carmen Villalobos hauled in 12 rebounds.
The Cougars (4-22), who started the season 0-19, saw their three-game winning streak come to an end after shooting just 30.4% from the field and losing the rebounding battle 56-32. Josie Hill led the team with 12 points.
CSU has six games remaining in the regular season, all within the Horizon League. The Vikes will look to maintain a share of first place in the conference this Saturday when they head to IUPUI.
