Cleveland State women's basketball earns wire-to-wire win over IUPUI, maintains share of 1st in Horizon League

The Vikings remain in a tie for first in the Horizon League Standings.

INDIANAPOLIS — Destiny Leo tallied 23 points and Cleveland State led the entire way in an 83-59 win over IUPUI Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings (23-3, 13-2 Horizon League) earned their sixth straight victory to maintain a share of first place in the conference with Green Bay. Leo's output came via the aid of four 3-pointers, while Jordana Reisma scored 14 off the bench and Gabriella Smith added 12.

The Jaguars (14-11, 10-6) trailed by only six midway through the second quarter but quickly fell further behind by shooting just 35.1% from the field. Natalie Andersen led her team with 12 points and six rebounds.

Just five games remain in the regular season, and CSU will stay in Indiana to face Purdue Fort Wayne Monday evening.
