2022 NFL Trade Deadline: 5 Cleveland Browns who could be traded

The Cleveland Browns could be one of the NFL's more active teams at the NFL trade deadline.

CLEVELAND — NFL teams have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 1 to complete their final trades of the 2022 season.

With that in mind, let's look at five players the Cleveland Browns could potentially deal away ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline.

RB Kareem Hunt

Running back Kareem Hunt is one of the offensive players who has garnered the most buzz in the lead-up to Tuesday's deadline. While the Willoughby South product is a key member of Cleveland's offense, he is in the final year of his contract and appears unlikely to re-sign with the Browns after the season.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Cleveland is looking to secure at least a fourth-round pick in exchange for the 2017 Pro Bowl selection. All things considered, that could prove to be a fair price for a dynamic player who is currently behind Nick Chubb on the Browns' depth chart.

CB Greedy Williams

Like Hunt, Greedy Williams is a player who Cleveland counts on -- but he's also in the final year of his contract. With Denzel Ward signed to a long-term extension and the Browns having used its first draft picks on Greg Newsome II and Martin Emerson Jr. in the past two years, it would make sense for Cleveland to try to get something back in return for Williams before he likely hits free agency.

RB D'Ernest Johnson

While D'Ernest Johnson proved to be a reliable backup for the Browns last season as both Chubb and Hunt battled injuries, he has thus far been the odd-man-out of Cleveland's running back rotation. With 2022 fourth-round pick Jerome Ford waiting in the wings, the Browns would likely be glad to get back anything they could for Johnson, who they re-signed on a one-year, $1,216,500 restricted free agent tender last offseason.

DE Jadeveon Clowney

There hasn't been much buzz regarding a potential Jadeveon Clowney trade, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. With rookies Alex Wright and Isaiah Thomas having seen increases in playing time as Clowney has battled injuries, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a contender -- such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- inquire about acquiring the former No. 1 overall pick, who is currently playing on a one-year deal.

OT Jack Conklin

Having suffered a torn patella tendon at the end of last season, Jack Conklin's return to the field this season has been nothing short of remarkable. But second-year player James Hudson III has emerged as Cleveland's right tackle of the future, making it unlikely the Browns will re-sign the 2020 All-Pro selection.

Considering he plays a premium position, teams dealing with offensive line injuries of their own would be wise to make a call about Conklin. It's worth noting that the Michigan State product left Monday's win vs. the Cincinnati Bengals with an apparent lower-body injury, but ultimately returned to the game.
