CLEVELAND — It seems strange, but we haven't had to talk about consecutive Browns losses in almost two years.
Unfortunately, that changed Sunday, with Cleveland largely falling flat in a 37-14 defeat at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals. So many things went wrong on both sides of the ball, and the team has only four days to clean it up before hosting the Denver Broncos on "Thursday Night Football."
As we do every Monday, "Voice of the Browns" and 3News sports anchor Jim Donovan joins Stephanie Haney for their segment "3 Things About the Browns," a spinoff of Haney's popular "3 Things to Know" podcast. They'll discuss the top topics surrounding the team, as well as what comes next.
Here's a rundown of their chat following Week 6:
Injuries
The Browns medical staff has been busy this season, and now running back Kareem Hunt and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah are expected to miss extended amounts of time. Jimmy tells us just how much this litany of injuries is affecting the team as a whole.
Case Keenum
Baker Mayfield believes he'll be able to play this Thursday despite reinjuring his shoulder, but Kevin Stefanski isn't so sure. Should the Browns' QB1 be unable to go, what can we expect from his backup?
Penalties
The Browns drew nine costly flags Sunday, although some of them were a bit... questionable? Jimmy and Steph discuss what must be done to clean up the mistakes.
Back to .500
At 3-3, the Browns' season is at a potential crossroads, and according to Jimmy, their record could really impact their road to the playoffs.
