Of note:
- Following a standout training camp, rookie Harrison Bryant enters the season as the Browns' No. 2 tight end, behind free agent signee Austin Hooper. That puts the Florida Atlantic product ahead of 2017 first-round pick David Njoku, who demanded a trade from Cleveland earlier this year before ultimately rescinding his request.
- Linebacker Mack Wilson is expected to miss Sunday's opener against Baltimore as he continues to recover from a hyperextended knee suffered in training camp. Based on the depth chart, that leaves B.J. Goodson, Sione Takitaki and Jacob Phillips as the Browns' likely starting linebackers against the Ravens' explosive offense, which features the NFL's reigning MVP in quarterback Lamar Jackson.
- After missing the bulk of training camp due to a knee procedure, center JC Tretter participated in practice on Monday. Should Tretter be unable to play on Sunday, rookie Nick Harris would likely start in his place.
- Safety Ronnie Harrison, who Cleveland acquired in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, is currently listed as the backup strong safety. He could, however, see significant snaps on Sunday playing alongside the current starter, Karl Joseph.
