The Cleveland Browns have placed right tackle Jack Conklin, kicker Cody Parkey and long snapper Charley Hughlett on the NFL's reserve/COVID-19 list. The NFL's COVID-19 list was created for players who have either tested positive for the coronavirus or who have been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

The Browns' additions to the COVID-19 list come two days after the team closed down its facility after a player tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday morning. Later in the day, the Browns placed fullback Andy Janovich on the COVID-19 reserve list. Janovich played 26 snaps (15 offensive, 11 special teams) during Cleveland's 10-7 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

While the Browns reopened their facility on Tuesday, their shutdown marked their second in four days after the team also closed their facility on Friday following a positive test. The team later placed offensive lineman Chris Hubbard on its COVID-19 reserve list.

"That is the world we live in right now, and we are ready to do whatever is necessary to keep everybody safe, first and foremost -- keep our coaches, players and staff safe," Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said on Monday. "That is really where our mentality is. While doing that, we still have to prepare and get ready to play.”

Per an agreement between the NFL and NFL Players Association, teams are not able to disclose whether a player on the COVID-19 list has tested positive for the virus or is quarantining as a close contact. Players may be removed from the list after testing negative the appropriate number of times.

Laying claim to a 6-3 record, the Browns will host the 3-5-1 Philadelphia Eagles at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday.
