CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Browns have placed cornerback Joe Haden on the injured-reserve list.
The team confirmed the news Monday evening.
The 26-year-old two-time Pro Bowler was having a quiet 2015 campaign, racking up 22 tackles and no interceptions this season.
"This has been an extremely difficult season for me personally," Haden said. "It's upsetting that my year has ended this way. I really want to be out there with my teammates trying to help finish this season strong and on a positive note."
Haden suffered multiple concussions, limiting him to play in only five games this season, as questions loom about his long-term health. He hasn't played in a game since Nov. 1 against Arizona.
"We've all learned how important it is to be very thorough with concussions and I appreciate the care the Browns have provided for me," Haden said. "Although, I haven't been able to clear protocol, the specialist I have met with have told me they expect a full recovery. I'm looking forward that, returning to form, having a good offseason and an even better 2016 season."
Haden is under contract in Cleveland for three more seasons, earning annual salaries in excess of $10 million.
In related roster moves, the Browns claimed offensive lineman Kaleb Johnson off waivers from the Ravens to fill the roster spot left by Haden, signed wide receiver Rannell Hall off of Tampa Bay's practice squad and waived offensive lineman Gabe Ikard from the practice squad.
Heading to Seattle Sunday, the Browns' starting corners are projected to be 32-year-old veteran Tramon Williams and rookie Charles Gaines.
