CLEVELAND — When the Cleveland Browns (3-2) take the field for their Week 6 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals (5-0) on Sunday, they'll do so without both of their starting offensive tackles. Prior to Sunday's kickoff at FirstEnergy Stadium, the Browns announced that left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and right tackle Jack Conklin will each be inactive due to injuries.
Sunday's matchup will mark the second straight game that Wills has missed as he continues to recover from an ankle injury he suffered in Cleveland's season-opening loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. While Wills was ultimately able to play in the Browns' next three games, he also failed the finish all three contests before ultimately sitting out Cleveland's Week 5 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Conklin, meanwhile, is missing his first game of the season after leaving last week's loss to the Chargers with a knee injury. A 2020 All-Pro selection, Conklin played in 15 of the Browns' regular-season games last season.
With reserve offensive tackle Chris Hubbard out for the season due to a triceps injury, Blake Hance will start at left tackle for Cleveland, with rookie James Hudson III starting at right tackle. In addition to Wills and Conklin, running back Nick Chubb will miss Sunday's game vs. Arizona due to a calf injury, with the following players designated as inactive for Sunday's game:
- RB Nick Chubb
- CB A.J. Green
- LB Malcolm Smith
- T Jedrick Wills Jr.
- T Jack Conklin
- DT Tommy Togiai
- DT Andrew Billings
