Game preview

Tom Brady isn't the only prominent figure in the NFL making a return to his former home this weekend.

While he may not have won six Super Bowls, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski spent the first 14 years of his NFL coaching career in Minnesota as an assistant under multiple Vikings head coaches. Speaking to reporters this week, however, Stefanski downplayed the significance of his return to the Twin Cities, opting instead to focus on the task at hand.

“I would tell you it is obviously a special place," Stefanski said. "I had a great time there and was treated great by the organization from the ownership to the coaches and staff. Really have good friends there. With that being said, it is a really big game and they are a good team so that has our full attention."

To Stefanski's point, the Vikings feature one of the league's most dynamic passing attacks, headlined by quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. What's more is that Minnesota lays claim to one of the league's top running backs in Dalvin Cook, who is expected to play vs. Cleveland after missing last week's win vs. Seattle.

If the Browns are going to pick up their first road victory of the season, they're going to need a complete game on both sides of the ball following last week's dominant defensive effort vs. Chicago. One thing to keep an eye on is the play of Cleveland's secondary, with rookie cornerback Greg Newsome II set to miss this week due to a calf injury.
