Cleveland Browns 2023 preseason: Here's what you need to know about Muni Lot parking and traffic for Friday's game

The city will open the East Muni Lot at noon on Friday, while the West Muni Lot will open at 5 p.m. The fee to park in the municipal lot is $30.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns will make their lone preseason home appearance on Friday night when they host the Washington Commanders. In preparation for the action at Cleveland Browns Stadium, the city of Cleveland has announced parking and traffic information along with rules and reminders for the Municipal (Muni) Lot.

Here's a rundown of what you can expect for Friday:

Road Closures

The city of Cleveland says all highway exits around Cleveland Browns Stadium will be closed by 6 p.m. Traffic around the stadium will be limited to "Browns Pass" holders and drop-offs for those with disabilities. Those pass holders and drop-offs will only be able to get to the stadium via North Marginal westbound from East 55th Street.

While the ramps will remain closed until the end of the game, East 9th and West 3rd will open once the game starts and then reclose when the game is over.

Parking

Parking restrictions in downtown Cleveland will be in place from 4 p.m. through midnight. City leaders advise you to look for signs attached to posts, poles and parking meters in those areas affected by the restrictions. Violators will be ticketed and towed if parked in violation.

The Muni Lot

The city will open the East Muni Lot at noon on Friday, while the West Muni Lot will open at 5 p.m. The fee to park in the municipal lot is $30.

Motorists awaiting entry to the lot shall not congregate on East 9th Street, the Shoreway, the South Marginal, East 55th Street nor St. Clair Avenue as these streets are thoroughfares and must be left unrestricted.

As always, here are the rules and regulations for tailgating:
