Cleveland Browns' 2023 opponents
Based on the league's rotation of cross-divisional matchups each season, the Browns will be facing opponents in the AFC South and NFC West, in addition to their annual home-and-home series with the rest of the AFC North next season. As the fourth-place finisher in its division in 2022, Cleveland will also face the fourth-place finishers in the AFC East and AFC West, as well as the NFC North.
As a result, the Browns' 2023 opponents will be as follows:
Home
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Arizona Cardinals
- Chicago Bears
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- New York Jets
- San Francisco 49ers
- Tennessee Titans
Away
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Denver Broncos
- Houston Texans
- Indianapolis Colts
- Los Angeles Rams
- Seattle Seahawks
Of note, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will be facing his former division, the AFC South, in what will mark his first full season as Cleveland's starting quarterback. The three-time Pro Bowl selection will also face his former team, the Houston Texans, on the road for the second consecutive season after making his Browns debut in Cleveland's 27-14 victory at NRG Stadium last December.
Additionally, Cleveland will once again host the New York Jets, who added four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers this past offseason. Altogether, the Browns will be facing seven opponents -- including the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens twice -- who qualified for the playoffs following the 2022 season.
