Cleveland Browns announce 12-man practice squad

The Cleveland Browns have announced their initial practice squad for the 2022 season.

CLEVELAND — One day after announcing their first 53-man roster of the 2022 season, the Cleveland Browns have signed their first 12-man practice squad for the upcoming campaign.

And it includes plenty of familiar faces for those who were paying attention throughout the preseason.

In fact, all 12 members of the Browns' practice squad spent this past preseason on Cleveland's roster. The Browns' practice squad includes:

  • LB Dakota Allen
  • WR Daylen Baldwin
  • TE Miller Forristall
  • WR Mike Harley
  • C Brock Hoffman
  • CB Shaun Jolly
  • RB John Kelly
  • CB Herb Miller
  • TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden
  • DT David Moore
  • DT Roderick Perry
  • T Alex Taylor

Of note, David Moore played at offensive guard during the preseason and the first year of his NFL career, but will be moving to defensive tackle while on Cleveland's practice squad. The Browns also re-signed tight end Miller Forristall, who had finished training camp as Cleveland's No. 3 tight end behind David Njoku and Harrison Bryant.

In addition to their 12-player practice squad, the Browns officially announced that they have successfully claimed former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kellen Mond off waivers. In a corresponding move to make room for the 2021 third-round pick, Cleveland terminated the contract of defensive end Isaac Rochell.
