Keep in mind: This list could change in the coming days, especially as the Browns and other teams take a look at available options on the waiver wire. Cleveland players waived or released Tuesday included:

  • QB Kellen Mond
  • RB John Kelly Jr.
  • RB Hassan Hall
  • RB/WR Demetric Felton
  • WR Austin Watkins Jr.
  • WR Jaelon Darden
  • WE Mike Harley Jr.
  • TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden
  • OG Michael Dunn
  • DE Isaiah Thomas
  • DE Sam Kamara
  • DE Jeremiah Martin
  • DE Lonnie Phillips
  • DT Tommy Togiai
  • DT Trysten Hill
  • DT Maurice Hurst II
  • LB Charlie Thomas III
  • CB Lorenzo Burns
  • S Tanner McCalister
  • K Cade York

Of those 20 names, four were previously drafted by current general manager Andrew Berry beginning in 2021, and wide receiver Anthony Schwartz was also cut loose earlier in the week. Watkins was seen as a potential roster candidate after catching two touchdowns in the preseason, but Marquise Goodwin's return from health issues as well as David Bell's status as a 2022 third-round pick likely made him the odd man out.

The Browns will have 16 practice squad spots available, so many of the players cut today will likely be given an opportunity to stick around should they clear waivers.
