Game preview
With their most convincing victory of the season, the Browns' put themselves firmly in the thick of the crowded AFC Playoff picture. But in order to stay there, Cleveland is going to have to keep winning, especially against opponents like the Patriots who are also fighting for their postseason lives.
In heading to New England, the Browns may not be at full strength, with running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton having tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week. Should Chubb be unable to play, D'Ernest Johnson will get the start at running back for Cleveland and look to build on his 146-yard, one-touchdown performance vs. the Denver Broncos earlier this year.
The Patriots, meanwhile, may be dealing with running back woes of their own with Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson suffering concussions in a win over the Carolina Panthers last week. Regardless of who's at running back for New England, it will be a rookie at quarterback for New England with 2021 first-round pick Mac Jones set to make the 10th start of his NFL career.
