Preview:
Riding a four-game losing streak, the Browns enter Monday night looking to bring an end to what has thus far been a winless October. Entering November on the right note, however, will be easier said than done as Cleveland prepares to host the reigning AFC champion Bengals, who have won four of their past five games and are looking to keep pace with the first-place Ravens in the AFC North.
Cincinnati, however, will be without one of its key players, with wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase set to miss Monday's matchup with a hip injury. And for as impressive as Joe Burrow has been in his young career, the Athens, Ohio, native has yet to beat the Browns through his first two seasons in the NFL.
Add it all up and despite Cleveland's lackluster record, Monday night's matchup possesses no shortage of intrigue. Should the Browns leave Halloween with a treat, they'll find themselves back in the thick of the division race. A trick, however, and it may be time to officially write off Cleveland's postseason chances.
