The Cleveland Browns (11-5) have clinched a wildcard spot and are locked into their postseason seed at No. 5 in the AFC, resulting in the team resting the majority of their starters in Week 18. However, the team is focused on winning the Battle of Ohio and continuing their five-game win streak, resulting in more momentum heading into the playoffs.

While Flacco fever is still alive and well in Cleveland, the vet will have the week off as the Browns will turn to their fifth quarterback of the season, Jeff Driskel. It does appear Flacco will at least be active on Sunday, although P.J. Walker is expected to serve as the backup.

As for the rest of the squad, a number of starters will be inactive, particularly on defense. The list came out about 90 minutes prior to kickoff:

  • WR Amari Cooper
  • WR Marquise Goodwin
  • DE Myles Garrett
  • CB Greg Newsome II
  • CB Mike Ford Jr.
  • S Juan Thornhill
  • K Dustin Hopkins

The Browns' defense will take on the Bengals (8-8) and their QB, Jake Browning, after the loss of Joe Burrow earlier this year. Despite being eliminated from playoff contention following last week's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Browning has impressed in his six starts throwing for eight touchdowns and 1,712 yards.

While the Bengals aren't fighting for a spot in the playoffs, a win on Sunday secures the team with a winning season, finishing above .500.
