CLEVELAND — You may have seen a unique Tesla Cybertruck riding around Northeast Ohio, wrapped to look like a Cleveland Browns helmet. The truck has also been picking up steam on social media with people snapping pictures and documenting its multiple sightings.
While the truck itself is recognizable, 3News' David Greenberg took a ride inside to meet the man behind the wheel.
"In person, [people's reaction to the truck] are pretty positive," said the vehicle's owner, Andy Manchen. "A lot of honking their horns and thumbs up."
Nicknamed Cyberdawg, thanks to it's "CYBRDWG" license plate, Manchen says he caught his wife offguard when he pulled into the driveway for the first time.
"She was very, 'Oh, I like it...' through gritted teeth," Manchen said.
The die-hard Browns fan waited four and a half long years for his Cybertruck to be delivered. He then waited even longer for it to be wrapped to look like the Browns helmet, due to an unfortunate coincidence.
"I called the owner [of the auto shop] and I said I wanted the most obnoxious vehicle in the Muni Lot and he gave me some designs, some different renders and then we got bumped because [Cleveland Cavaliers center] Tristan Thompson dropped his Cybertruck off," said Manchen. "So we had to wait."
Manchen said he's been a season ticket holder since the early 2000s, and is looking forward to showing off his creation with the Dawg Pound in the Muni Lot for the upcoming 2024 season.
