Preview
The Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos enter Sunday's contest with winning streaks of three and four games, respectively.
In his second career start, rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson led the Browns on a final drive that resulted in a field goal, giving Cleveland a 13- 10 victory over Pittsburgh. The Browns come into Sunday's game with plenty of momentum, carrying a 7-3 record for just the second time since 1999.
The Broncos have turned their season around following a 1-4 start to the year. Their aggressive defense and quarterback Russell Wilson's resurgence has led the team to impressive recent victories over the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills.
Thompson-Robinson will be faced with a new challenge on Sunday -- operating against Denver's tough defense in his first-ever NFL start on the road. DTR will have to deal with one of the most hostile crowds in the NFL, while also adjusting to playing in the mile-high altitude.
Denver's scrappy defense has forced 19 turnovers this season (10 interceptions and 9 fumbles), tied with the Buffalo Bills for third-most in the league. However, the Broncos will be without their veteran safety, Kareem Jackson, who was suspended for a month after hitting Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs with the crown of his helmet last week.
On the other side, Cleveland boasts the league's best defense, allowing only 143.7 passing yards per game and 99.6 rushing yards per game. Additionally, Myles Garrett leads the NFL in sacks with 13.
Offensively, the Browns will turn to their rushers, who are averaging 142.7 yards per contest. The combination of Kareem Hunt, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. stacks up well against a Broncos team that allows their opponents the most rushing yards in the league with 160 per game.
The Broncos will most likely rely on Courtland Sutton to be the X factor against the Browns' monstrous defense. Sutton comes into Sunday's game with eight receiving touchdowns, second-best in the NFL.
