Preview

Many of the team's stars, including QB Deshaun Watson, will be on the sidelines for Saturday's game. Head coach Kevin Stefanski previously announced during training camp that Watson would sit out of the first game and that QB Jameis Winston would start.

While some starters will take a series of plays in the first preseason game, Saturday's game will give younger players the opportunity to gain experience and NFL reps, prepping them for the event of having to step in during a regular season game. It will also give players one of the final chances to prove they belong on the 53-man roster.

On the other hand, the Green Bay Packers have determined that quarterback Jordan Love will start in the preseason game alongside most of their starters. During the offseason, the 25-year-old quarterback signed a four-year, $220 million contract extension after finishing last season with 4,159 passing yards and 32 touchdowns.
