CLEVELAND — A song made for Cleveland Browns fans has gained popularity over the last 24 hours thanks to social media.
"Here We Go Brownies" was released in 2020 by Bear Kincaid, a Clevelander who wanted to bring Browns fans together during a difficult time amid COVID-19 (and also a playoff race). However, on Wednesday, the song made the rounds on social media and gained traction.
"My streaming numbers are higher on Sundays," Kincaid told 3News.
Although it's not Sunday, thousands of Browns fans packed the Muni Lot and came together ahead of Thursday Night Football.
"The song is really a love song," Kincaid said. "Whether you're from one side of the town or the other, or somewhere else in the world at a Browns Backers bar or whatever, we are together as one unified force."
Browns fans continue to rally around a team that's been hit with the injury bug all season, but their resilience has defined them. Kincaid accomplished his goal of bringing "Dawg Pound" supporters together, but hopes to accomplish another goal soon.
"The ultimate goal would be to hear this song played at Cleveland Browns Stadium, either during the game or maybe at the end of a winning outcome," he shared. "Sixty-seven thousand singing along in unison — giving me chills just thinking about it."
Kincaid told us when he recorded the song in Nashville, his friends gathered around the microphone to bark like dogs. Thursday night against the New York Jets, many Browns fans will do the same.
