Talking to Twitter, Schefter stated that the Browns and Conklin reached a $60 million extension, which includes $31 million fully guaranteed.
Conklin's agent Drew Rosenhaus negotiated the deal with Jason Rosenhaus, Ryan Matha and Browns' General Manager Andrew Berry and Vice President Chris Cooper, according to Schefter.
Conklin, who was scheduled to be a free agent this off-season, joined the Browns for the 2020 season after playing with the Tenessee Titans from 2016-2019.
The 28-year-old Michigan State product, who suffered a season-ending patellar tendon injury, which required knee surgery last season, has started in 12 games for the Browns this season at the right tackle since returning in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Conklin was named first-team All-Pro during his rookie year with the Titans in 2016 and in 2020 when the Cleveland Browns made it to the playoffs.
Recently, on Dec. 13, Conklin was named the Cleveland Browns recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award. One recipient from each NFL team is selected for the award based on compassion, commitment and community.
On Saturday, Dec. 24, Conklin and the Browns are set to compete in a frigid Week 16 matchup at FirstEnergy Stadium against the New Orleans Saints. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
