CLEVELAND โ€” The Cleveland Browns have signed standout LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to a three-year extension.

According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth up to $39 million. In addition, Owusu-Koramoah is guaranteed $25 million.

Last season, Owusu-Koramoah was a shining star under Jim Schwartz's top-ranked defense. The 2023 Pro Bowler finished the regular season with 101 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He also recorded two interceptions on the season.

In addition, he finished fourth in the NFL with 20 tackles-for-a-loss during the regular season.

"When we drafted Jeremiah in 2021, we thought he was a unique player who embodied the skill sets needed to defend at LB in the modern-day NFL," Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Andrew Berry said to clevelandbrowns.com. "Three years later he has shown himself to be among the best at the position. He's a player that lives behind the LOS because he's a heat-seeking missile with rare, shape-shifting movement skills that would even make Neo, Trinity and Morpheus blush."

The 24-year-old Notre Dame product was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2021 during Round 2 as the 52nd overall pick. Since joining the NFL, he has recorded 247 tackles, including 30 for loss, 10 QB hits, five sacks, 14 passes defensed, five forced fumbles and two interceptions.

Following his first season in the NFL, Owusu-Koramoah was named to the PFWA's 2021 NFL All-Rookie team.
