CLEVELAND — The accolades keep piling up for the Browns' three best players.
Running back Nick Chubb, left guard Joel Bitonio, and defensive end Myles Garrett added to their already strong reputations Tuesday with their selections to the Pro Football Writers of America's All-NFL team. It marks the third consecutive time Bitonio and Garrett have earned the honor and the second for Chubb.
Despite a disappointing 7-10 season for Cleveland, the club's elite trio continued to be steady in their success: Bitonio was named to both the Pro Bowl and AP All-Pro team for a fifth straight year, while Chubb earned similar honors while rushing for 12 touchdowns and 1,525 yards (just the second player in franchise history to crack the 1,500 mark). In addition, Garrett tied his own team record with 16 sacks and joined his teammates as a Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection.
Only the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers had more All-NFL honorees in 2022 than the Browns, who tied the Philadelphia Eagles with three picks. The PFWA has voted on its picks for the league's best players since 1966, and also chooses separate squads for the AFC and NFC.
