The Browns have been officially eliminated from the NFL Playoff picture after losing 27-14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14.
Despite losing, Browns' Head Coach Kevin Stefanski announced earlier this week that the team will be sticking with QB Jameis Winston against the Chiefs. Since taking over at QB, Winston has thrown for 1,892 yards, going 2-4 as a starter.
As Kansas City comes into Cleveland, Mahomes and the Chiefs are focused on securing the top spot in the AFC. While the Chiefs' offense hasn't been nearly as explosive as it has been in recent years, the team has still managed to win each week.
The Chiefs tied a league record last week by winning their 10th game this season by seven points or fewer when Matthew Wright doinked in a 31-yard field goal on the final play for a 19-17 victory over the Chargers.
Sunday’s matchup between the Browns and Chiefs marks a homecoming for running back Kareem Hunt. Hunt, who attended South High School in Willoughby, played for the Browns from 2019-2023.
Hunt signed back with the Chiefs, the team that originally drafted him, in September, adding depth to the team's roster after star RB Isiah Pacheco was injured. The veteran RB has rushed for 608 yards and scored five touchdowns in 10 games this season.
While many fans will pay attention to what is happening on the field, there is also a lot of interest in whether Swift will attend to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs TE Kelce.
Sunday is a homecoming for Kelce as his alma mater, Cleveland Heights High School, is a mere 10 miles away from Huntington Bank Field.
