Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski sign contract extensions

The extension comes following an impressive 2023 season in which the Browns went 11-6 and earned a playoff berth for just the third time since 1999.

BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland Browns Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski are here to stay for the foreseeable future.

The team announced on Wednesday morning that they have extended Stefanski and Berry's contracts.

While the details have not been announced, the extension comes after months of anticipation. Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam previously told the media during the NFL Annual League Meeting in March that they were close to an extension with Berry and Stefanski.

Since the duo came to Cleveland in 2020, the Browns have amassed a record of 37-30, which marks the highest winning percentage for the Browns over a four-year stretch since 1986-89.

"We are incredibly fortunate to have Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry leading the Cleveland Browns," said Cleveland Browns Managing and Principal Partners Dee and Jimmy Haslam. "Since the day they were hired, each has worked tirelessly to help the Cleveland Browns win. We are proud of what they and the team have achieved, but Kevin and Andrew would be the first to say that Browns fans deserve even more. Their leadership, collaborative approach, and ability to overcome obstacles bode well for the future of this franchise.

The extension comes following an impressive 2023 season in which the Browns went 11-6 and earned a playoff berth for just the third time since 1999.

Perhaps most impressive part of last season's success was how well Berry and Stefanski managed the team after they lost multiple starters to injury, including RB Nick Chubb and QB Deshaun Watson. Over the course of the season, the duo relied on a next-man-up mentality, which included starting five different quarterbacks.

Stefanski was named AP Coach of the Year for the second time following the season.
